I viewed this study article as lip service! What was the point of it all.
Blondie, good job on the entire review.
I also agree with what you say regarding the use of soo many brackets. The writer of this article needs to be sent back to cleaning toilets. Geez, the individual assigned to review his work must have been out to lunch!

I've lurked a long time: JW's produce some of the most paranoid humans
by Unlearn ini'll keep this brief for now.. long time lurker (4 years or so).. born-in, elder, used on district level (last talk i gave before i left was the baptisimal talk), and lots of hard time put in...before i finally made the move to split.
it's a long stoy, much like many of yours...but with it's own little interesting twists.
more details in the future, perhaps.. as i said, ive lurked here for a while.. its funny: for a long time i'd only come on late at night.

what has the watchtower society done to benefit mankind?
by bigmac inwhat i mean is---has the wts/jw's/ibsa-- or whatever organisation or legality they hide behind---ever done to really benefit some sector of humanity on a practical basis?---.
it must be me--but i really cannot see some poor person--starving in a third world famine--regarding the chance of a free home bible study as high on their list of priorities..

After reading the above legal maneuvering by the WTBTS, I can't help but think of how the GB, its' lawyers and its' various entities are guilty of the offenses brought out at Proverbs 6:16 thru 19:
"There are six things that Jehovah does hate, yes, seven things are detestable to his soul: lofty eyes, a false tonge, and hands that are shedding innocent blood, a heart fabricating hurtful schemes, feet that are in a hurry to run to badness, a false witness that launches forth lies......."

My head is spinning! I'm going to re-read the above thread in hopes of getting my mind around it. The WTBTS has always had a way of complicating matters.
Looks like they have weaved themselves into a mess. Thats' what happens when you ignore Jesus' advice of keeping things simple.

So in Watchtower World I hear they frown on sideburns or any other facial hair. How did his bushy eye brows get past inspection in preparation for the above picture to appear in the magazine? He must have had some clout, hey?
